Competition Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions set out the conditions relating to entering the Spotlight Edfringe Photo Comp.
Nothing in this statement is intended to limit any rights you have under the applicable area of consumer, or local law.
- Entries should be submitted by via email to kate.tozer@spotlight.com. Entries must be labelled with the entrant's name and image files must be 72 dpi and between 1MB and 3MB. Entrants should include their own name, address and telephone number. We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries.
- All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
- Retouching/manipulation of digital images is accepted provided that all works are original works and not copies of other peoples work.
- It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject (or, where the image shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent/guardian) and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants additionally warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it. Entrants agree to indemnify Spotlight against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringements.
- Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Spotlight to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material.
- Spotlight will not allow the use of the images by 3rd parties without the consent of the copyright holder.
- No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries.
- The winner will be notified within seven days of the closing date of the competition (midnight on 04/09/11).
- The prize of 1 year's free subscription is non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
- The Spotlight Judges decision is final
- Breach of the terms by the winner, even if discovered at a future time, will result in the individual's Spotlight account being debited to the value of the prize.
