Voice-Clips

Why do I need a voice-clip on my CV?

A performer's voice is one of their most important assets – so make sure casting directors can hear yours! Casting professionals can access members' voice-clips at the click of a button, when looking at their web CVs. They can also refine their casting searches to include only those performers who have uploaded a voice-clip. So if you don't have one, you may be missing out on lucrative voice-over and commercial work.

What sort of clip(s) should I use?

Your voice clip can be one continuous clip, or split into several clips totalling two minutes: a great way for you to showcase a variety of different work including singing, monologue, etc. It can be taken from previous work you've done, or recorded specifically for the purpose. If you need to record your voice-clip from scratch, you should book a session with a recording studio. Lots of voice-clip companies are listed in Contacts, or you can click here to see a list of studios who offer preferential rates to Spotlight performers.

How much does it cost?

It costs £15 for members to upload their voice-clip(s) onto Spotlight. Your voice-clip will then remain on our website for as long as you remain a member, or until you wish to change or update it.
