An explosive Israeli play about three Palistinian brothers, Masked depicts the tragedy of one family torn between duty, kinship, principles and survival against the backdrop of the Israeli-Arab struggle. It transcends any specific nationalistic conflict and could have occurred in any place or time where occupation, oppression and civil war have reigned.
Alon Tiran is from Israel and his directing credits include Ha-Ha by Richard Eyre, Keeping Tom Nice by Lucy Gannon, Joe Orton’s Loot, an adaptation of The 24th Day by Tony Piccirillo, The Island by Athol Fugard and Woyzeck by Georg Buchner. This production has a professional cast.
