The Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare
Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (2 yr. Acting)
Peter Collins
Performances take place at the Chandler Studio, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, G2 3DB
Two sets of identical twins accidentally
separated at birth get miraculously thrown
together again in one of Shakespeare’s most
joyful (and confusing!) comedies. Antipholus
of Syracuse and his servant, Dromio of
Syracuse, arrive in Ephesus which just
happens to be the home of their long lost
twin brothers, Antipholus of Ephesus and his
servant, Dromio of Ephesus. Wild mishaps
based on multiple mistaken identities
ensue, leading to wrongful beatings, a
near seduction, the arrest of Antipholus of
Ephesus and false accusations of infidelity,
theft, madness, and demonic possession as
the turmoil escalates.
