Spotlight Children & Young Performers
Our Children and Young Performers directory features casting details for children from the UK's leading agencies and theatre schools. It is the UK's definitive database of performers aged 5-20 and the best way for any young performer to promote themselves to casting opportunities. Please note we do not accept children under 5.
Recent productions which cast their child artists via Spotlight include films Borrowed Time, Snow White and the Huntsman and World War Z; stage productions Love Never Dies, Matilda the Musical, Top Hat, Cool Hand Luke and Thriller; television series Hollyoaks, Doctors, Phoneshop Series 2 and Tracy Beaker Returns; and commercials for Domino's Pizza, Sainsbury's, KFC and Legoland; music videos for Katy B and Olly Murs – to name but a few!
How can my child join?
Only children who are represented by an agent or who attend a stage school who have previously contacted us are eligible for Spotlight membership, which is why we are the casting community's most trusted database of young performers.
Speak to your child's agent or school to arrange Spotlight membership, or email questions@spotlight.com.
How much does it cost?
Membership for a child artist is £90.00 (inc. VAT) for a whole year in Spotlight (2013-2014 edition). That's less than £1.74 per week for ongoing promotion to hundreds of casting opportunities.
When will payment be taken?
If you have not been in Spotlight before you are entitled to a 30 day cooling off period before any payment is deducted. You may cancel your application at any time during this period. The 30 day cooling off period - and your membership - starts when your CV is published on our website, and we'll take payment 30 days after your CV is published.
Please see our terms and conditions.
How do I know my child's details are safe?
Access to Spotlight's online database is only available to vetted industry professionals. We never print or disclose personal details for any of our members. Your child's agent/stage school, or you, can decide when it is appropriate to give out a viewing link to their page.
Pre-approved agencies and stage schools can join online below!
Only pre-approved agencies and stage schools can use this part of the site. Payment is by credit card only.
We regret we cannot accept child applications directly from parents or individual children & young performers. If you are an agent/stage school and you want to request approval please email childapps@spotlight.com.
