2007 marks Spotlight’s 80th anniversary. 
The very first Spotlight directory was published in 1927 with just 236 artists. This was five years before the first ever television broadcast! Spotlight was an immediate success and Laurence Olivier, Boris Karloff, John Gielgud and Vivien Leigh are just four of the many celebrated performers who appeared in its early editions.
Spotlight has come a long way since. But our aim remains exactly the same: to give professional performers the best and most efficient exposure to casting opportunities. As the industry continues to grow, so will the variety of services Spotlight offers to performers, agents and casting professionals, using the very latest technology in order to meet this aim.
To celebrate our 80th birthday, we will be running a number of promotions and events throughout the year, so watch this space for information!
