The acting awards are coming thick and fast. No sooner had the Golden Globes winners collected their awards, than the shortlist for the BAFTA film awards were released, and Spotlight has played a part in several of the nominated films and performances. Courtney George wins Young Dancer Of The Year 2011

Stagecoach awards recognise inspirational youngsters
Stagecoach Theatre Arts, the performing schools network for young performers aged between four and 18, have rewarded inspirational young people from across the country at their Children’s Achievement Awards this week. Nigel Lindsay, who stars as Shrek in Shrek The Musical, presented the awards to the youngsters- from all walks of life – who have either faced adversity, demonstrated bravery, shown courage, cared for others and proved they are good role models for young people. Spotlight members triumph at Evening Standard awards
The 57th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards highlighted the best of West End theatre over the past 12 months, and Spotlight is proud to see several of our members rewarded for their outstanding work, while we’ve also had a hand in some of the winning productions. Stagecoach launches search for inspirational youngsters
Stagecoach Theatre Arts, the performing schools network for young performers aged between four and 18, have launched a search to find inspirational young heroes as part of their 2011 Stagecoach Theatre Arts Children’s Achievement Awards. The awards, which have been launched with the help of the stars of West End show Shrek The Musical, aims to find and highlight youngsters who have demonstrated outstanding achievement during adversity or deserves recognition for bravery. 2011 Spotlight Prize winners announced
The winner of this year's Spotlight Prize is Kurt Egyiawan, from Guildhall. Kirsty Oswald, from Rose Bruford, won the Highly Commended award. Kurt performed ‘Best Man Speech’ by Ben Lloyd-Hughes, adapted from a play by Glyn Maxwell. Kirsty performed a scene from ‘The Art of Success’ by Nick Dear. Spotlight Showcase Class of 2010 Success!
In July this year, 21 CDS drama school graduates, chosen by their schools as the best of their year, performed in front of an industry audience in a bid to win the 2010 Spotlight Prize. Spotlight at The Dance Show
Spotlight had a successful three days exhibiting at The Dance Show over the weekend. We joined 50 exhibitors including Equity, Cambridge Performing Arts at Bodyworks, Youth Dance England, Dance Exchange and Rambert Dance Company for a weekend of workshops, masterclasses and live performances.
