This is Central’s first feature film, having produced a series of films over the past five years that have shown at festivals such as London Shorts, Tribecca, and Reykjavik.
The Befuddled Box Of Betty Buttifint explores the five stages of life through the fractured memory of a woman with Alzheimer’s. Heavily blurring the line between reality and fiction, the audience are taken on a journey of surreal events as the increasingly confused memories of Betty’s past come to life. Using a combination of ensemble performance, song, dance and crafted text, the film celebrates life and examines the fabric of which we are ultimately made of.
