William was in the founding year of the Drama Centre. He joined the National Theatre Company at the Old Vic and stayed with the company for two years. William played 'Christie' in Christie In Love, and at the Royal Court his credits include Bond's LEAR, TOTAL ECLIPSE and SKYVERS. At Nottingham Playhouse he played James Joyce in Richard Eyre's production of TRAVESTIES.
