‘Wicked’ is up for five awards in the Screen Actors Guild Awards, with nominations also going to ‘A Complete Unknown’, ‘Anora’, ‘Emilia Pérez’, ‘The Bear’, ‘The Diplomat’ and ‘The Penguin’.

The nominees for the 31st Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards have now been revealed, with some of 2024’s biggest and most successful films and TV series making the list.

Musical adaptation Wicked received the most nominations in the Film category with five awards: Best Performance for its female and male leads Cynthia Erivo (who played Elphaba) and Jonathan Bailey (playing Fiyero), Best Supporting Actress for Arianna Grande (playing Glinda), Outstanding Performance by a Cast and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble.

In the TV category, we see Shōgun primed for success with four nominations for Best Drama Actor (which sees both Tadanobu Asano and Hiroyuki Sanada competing for the win), Best Drama Actress for Anna Sawai, Outstanding Performance by a Drama Ensemble and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble. All three nominated actors recently enjoyed wins at the Golden Globe Awards 2025

Films A Complete Unknown, Anora, Emilia Pérez all received three nominations each, as did TV series The Bear, The Diplomat and The Penguin.

The winners will be announced on 23 February at a ceremony hosted by Kristen Bell, which will be streaming live on Netflix.
