‘Adolescence’, ‘Amandaland’, Erin Doherty and Aimee Lou Wood receive the most nominations at the 2026 BAFTA Television Awards.
The nominations for the 2026 BAFTA Television Awards and BAFTA TV Craft Awards have been announced, highlighting a stellar year for British broadcasting ahead of the anticipated ceremony at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
The frontrunners for the BAFTA Television Awards are the limited series Adolescence and the hit sitcom Amandaland, which lead the pack with six and four nominations respectively. Adolescence dominated the drama categories with nods for Limited Drama and the acting excellence of Spotlight members Stephen Graham, Ashley Walters, Owen Cooper, Christine Tremarco and Erin Doherty.
Meanwhile, Amandaland triumphed in the comedy nominations, securing a nomination for Scripted Comedy alongside a triple-threat of nominations for its leading ladies Jennifer Saunders and Spotlight members Lucy Punch and Philippa Dunne.
Other highlights include remarkable double nominations for Spotlight members Erin Doherty and Aimee Lou Wood. Doherty is nominated for both A Thousand Blows and Adolescence, while Wood earned a nod for her roles in Film Club and The White Lotus.
In the BAFTA TV Craft Awards, we’re thrilled to see Spotlight members Shaheen Baig, Nathan Toth and Julie Harkin in the running for the Scripted Casting award.
Congratulations to all the nominees! The winners will be announced on 10 May 2026 at a ceremony hosted by Taskmaster star Greg Davies at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.
