Graduate Course Criteria
To qualify for Spotlight Graduate Membership, new graduate courses must meet specific criteria. Below are the key requirements that courses must fulfil for their students to be eligible.
- Vocational training courses for performers – practical rather than theoretical.
- No more than 22 students in a class, and 30 weeks in a year of instruction
- Equivalent to RQF 6/SCQF 9 or above qualification issued by a recognised body
- Courses that offer a professional showcase opportunity, attended by industry
- Contact hours in excess of 30 hours per week
- Clear commitments on safeguarding, bullying and harassment, and diversity
- Access to professional facilities
If your course is not currently part of the Graduate scheme, please ask your course leader to complete the Spotlight Graduate Course Application form. Please note that only the course leader can apply for course recognition with Spotlight. We do not accept applications from students.
