‘One Battle After Another’, ‘Sinners’, ‘Marty Supreme’ and ‘Hamnet’ lead the nominations for the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2026.

The nominations for the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2026 have now been announced through a live broadcast, presented by Aimee Lou Wood and David Jonsson. The awards, now in their 79th year, celebrate cinematic achievements from all over the world.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another received an incredible 14 nominations, including the awards for Best Film, Director and every acting category for its stars Chase Infiniti, Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor and Sean Penn. 

It was closely followed by Sinners, which recently set a new record with its 16 nominations at the Academy Awards. Among its 13 nominations for the BAFTA Film awards are Best Film, Director, Leading Actor for Michael B. Jordan and Supporting Actress for Wunmi Mosaku. Other top nominees include Hamnet, Marty Supreme, Frankenstein and Sentimental Value

While the Oscars may only be introducing the Best Casting award this year, the BAFTA Film Awards have been honouring the essential work of casting directors since 2020. This year, the nominees for the Casting award are Cassandra Kulukundis, Francine Maisler, Jennifer Venditti, Yngvill Kolset Haga, Avy Kaufman and British casting director Lauren Evans.

The winners of the EE BAFTA Film Awards will be revealed on 22 February 2026 at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London, in a ceremony hosted by national treasure Alan Cumming.
