The festive season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with a trip to the theatre! London’s glittering West End has a huge amount of shows on offer for those looking for some Christmassy fun or a bit of escapism this winter.

West End Shows for the Christmas Spirit:
‘Elf the Musical’

Starring West End favourites and Spotlight members Carrie Hope Fletcher and husband Joel Montague, Elf the Musical tells the beloved story of Buddy as he travels from Christmastown to New York City, hoping to be reconnected with his human father.
A treat for the whole family, and full of spectacle, the show boasts an addictive soundtrack and an amazing cast. Fletcher and Montague lead as ‘Buddy’ and ‘Jovie’, and are joined by Aled Jones MBE as ‘Walter Hobbs’ and Spotlight member Rosanna Hyland as ‘Emily Hobbs’.
Buddy and his friends return to Theatreland at The Aldwych Theatre for a limited run from now until 3 January 2026.
‘The Nutcracker’

“When two squabbling siblings receive a mysterious nutcracker from their flamboyant Aunt on Christmas Eve, it sets them off on a fantastical journey into ‘The Mousey Realm’. Can they put their differences aside and stop the evil, many-headed Mouse King before he ruins Christmas? Only time will tell…”
Olivier Award-winning theatre company Little Bulb presents this bold reimagining of the timeless classic. This silly, fun and highly entertaining show will have audiences laughing from now until New Year’s Eve thanks to its creative sets and vibrant performances.
Suitable for audiences young and old, The Nutcracker is showing at St Martin’s Theatre from 10 December 2025 through to 5 January 2026.
‘Sleeping Beauty’

The London Palladium is famous for its over-the-top, camp, magical and ever so popular pantomimes. This year is no different. Treading the boards of London’s famous theatre are the cast of Sleeping Beauty, including Palladium regulars Julian Clary and Spotlight member Nigel Havers. Joining the star-studded cast this year are Spotlight members Catherine Tate, Rob Madge and Emily Lane.
Full of hilarious jokes, big musical numbers and panto puns galore, Sleeping Beauty is a sure fire hit for the whole family and is guaranteed to bring copious amounts of festive cheer to London this season.
Sleeping Beauty is running from 6 December 2025 to 11 January 2026 at The London Palladium, booking now!
‘The Snowman’

Sadler’s Wells presents the return of The Snowman to the West End stage. This timeless tale is told through the art of dance and physical performance whilst still capturing the magic of the original book and film.
The show tells the tale of a young boy who, in a magical encounter, finds himself flying over England with a Snowman that helps him realise the true magic of Christmas.
Spotlight member Andrew Ashton and Martin Fenton share the titular role of ‘The Snowman’ and are supported by young performers and Spotlight members Phoenix Beharry, Teddy Holton-Frances and Stanley Williams, who will share the role of ‘The Boy’ in rotated performances.
This beautiful production will run from 22 November 2025 to 4 January 2026 at the Peacock Theatre and is sure to be a festive treat for all.
‘A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story’

We take a few steps away from the West End for the 2023 adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story as it returns to the Alexandra Palace Theatre. Adapted for the stage by Spotlight member Mark Gatiss and starring Spotlight members Neil Morrissey as ‘Jacob Marley’ and Matthew Cottle as ‘Scrooge’.
Watch as greedy, selfish Ebenezer Scrooge tries to correct his fate as he is visited by three ghosts throughout the night of Christmas Eve. With the use of special effects and powerful performances, A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story is a dark, moving and beautiful production of this timeless classic.
The chilling tale is told in the atmospheric setting of Alexandra Palace from 21 November 2025 to 4 January 2026.
West End Show for Other Occassions:
‘Paddington the Musical’
Casting by Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting, CDG.
The beloved children’s book character is making his West End debut this season in a brand new production. McFly’s Tom Fletcher has written the music and lyrics for this stunning new family friendly musical, telling the story of a young bear who finds himself stranded at Paddington train station when he’s taken in by the loving Brown family.
The cast is full of West End favourites, including Spotlight members Bonnie Langford and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, plus Brenda Edwards and Tarinn Calendar, amongst others.
Paddington the Musical is currently playing at The Savoy Theatre and booking until October 2026.
‘Back to the Future the Musical’

Adapted from the iconic 1985 classic film, Back to the Future the Musical follows Marty McFly as he time jumps from the eighties to 1955 in Doc Brown’s time travelling DeLorean.
The musical spectacular features catchy songs and mind blowing special effects whilst remaining faithful to the original source material.
The cast features Caden Brauch as ‘Marty’ and Spotlight member Cory English as ‘Doc Brown’ and is currently playing at the Adelphi Theatre, booking until April 2026.
‘The Devil Wears Prada’
Casting by Jill Green, CDG.
The fan-favourite romantic comedy film from 2006, starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep as the iconic characters ‘Andy Sachs’ and ‘Miranda Priestly’, has been adapted for stage in this brand new musical production with music by none other than Elton John.
As Andy tries to start a career in the fashion magazine world, Miranda makes her life difficult as her icy, demanding boss. This warm and charming story of bravery and resilience is tied together with the central character making a difficult decision to better her own life.
The new production has a star-studded cast including Spotlight member Stevie Doc as ‘Andy’ and Vanessa Williams as ‘Miranda’. The stunning sets and beautiful costumes bring the whole thing together for a guaranteed good time at one of London’s most beloved theatres.
The Devil Wears Prada is currently playing at The Dominion Theatre and is currently booking up to 26 September 2026.
