Conclave, Emilia Pérez and The Brutalist lead nominations for the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2025, with Anora, Wicked, Dune: Part Two, A Complete Unknown and Kneecap among other nominees.
The EE BAFTA Film Awards nominees have been announced at a ceremony presented by Spotlight members Will Sharpe and Mia McKenna-Bruce (who won last year’s BAFTA Rising Star winner). The awards celebrate cinematic achievements from all over the world, and are now in their 78th year.
Conclave is the front-runner, with an incredible 12 nominations, including the coveted Best Film award and Outstanding British Film accolade. Emilia Pérez, which won four awards at this year’s Golden Globes, has received 11 nominations. The Brutalist has received nine.
This year marks 20 years of the Rising Star Award, which is the only award to be voted for by the public, and we’re thrilled to see Spotlight members David Jonsson, Marisa Abela and Nabhaan Rizwan among the nominees.
We’re proud to see many other Spotlight members among those nominated: Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ralph Fiennes, Felicity Jones and Guy Pearce for the acting awards, and Stephanie Gorin, Carmen Cuba, Yesi Ramirez, Nina Gold, Martin Ware and Carla Stronge for the Casting award.
The winners will be announced on 16 February 2025, in a ceremony once again hosted by Spotlight member and award-winning actor, David Tennant.
