Musical ‘Emilia Pérez’ leads Golden Globes 2025 with 10 nominations – ‘The Brutalist’, ‘Conclave’, ‘The Bear’ and ‘Shōgun’ among other nominees.

The nominees for the 82nd Golden Globes have now been revealed, with musical Emilia Pérez leading the charge in the film category. Its 10 nominations include Best Musical or Comedy Film, Best Non-English Language, and a variety of the Best Performance categories.

Conclave, which was one of our must-watches from the BFI London Film Festival 2024, has the awards for Best Drama and Best Performance for Ralph Fiennes and Isabella Rossellini among six nominations, as does historical epic The Brutalist, with seven nominations including Best Performance for Adrian Brody, Felicity Jones and Guy Pearce.

For television, The Bear received five nominations, and Shōgun four. Last year, The Bear was the winner of Best Musical or Comedy Television Series and Best Performance for both the female and male categories, while Shōgun broke the record at the 2024 Emmy Awards for winning 18 awards.

As usual, Spotlight are proud to see many of our members among the nominees – Tilda Swinton, Kate Winslet, Ralph Fiennes, Felicity Jones, Emma D’Arcy, Richard Gadd, Ewan McGregor, Andrew Scott, Jessica Gunning and Jack Lowden.

The winners will be announced on 5 January 2025 in a ceremony hosted by Nikki Glaser.
