‘Happy Valley’, ‘Top Boy’ and ‘The Sixth Commandment’ among the winners at the BAFTA TV Awards 2024.

The winners of the BAFTA TV Awards 2024 with P&O Cruises have now been announced. The awards, which recognise television stars and shows for their achievements over the past year, took place at the Royal Festival Hall. Comedy duo Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan hosted the ceremony with a special guest appearance from funny man of the moment, Joe Lycett, with all three winning awards. 

BBC’s The Sixth Commandment and Netflix’s Top Boy won two BAFTAs, whilst Spotlight member Sarah Lancashire won another BAFTA for Leading Actress in Happy Valley, having also won for her role in the same show back in 2017. Spotlight members Timothy Spall, Jasmine Jobson, Matthew Macfadyen, Mawaan Rizwan and Gbemisola Ikumelo also won in each of their performance categories, and you can see other nominated Spotlight members indicated in the list below by an asterisk.

Other highlights included the gritty London drama, Top Boy, landing the award for Best Drama, Lorraine Kelly being presented with the BAFTA Special Award, Baroness Floella Benjamin receiving a BAFTA Fellowship, and the kitchen showdown from Happy Valley won the public vote for ​​the P&O Cruises Memorable Moment Award
