The Spotlight Prize 2025 Finalist

What made you want to be an actor?
Being in school plays when I was little. We did a performance of Robin Hood when I was around 10, and I played ‘the Witch’ and just remember loving dressing up and putting on a funny voice. The feeling of being on stage in front of my family was amazing, so I think that really inspired me to want to become an actor.
What kind of actor do you aspire to be?
I want to be able to inspire others and connect with an audience. I’ve loved working on acting for screen, but I think I’ll always enjoy theatre the most. I want to be able to directly connect with an audience and have them leave the theatre feeling impacted and inspired.
Who in the industry would you like to work with?
I’d love to work with Philip Barantini. I recently watched Adolescence, which he produced, as well as Boiling Point, which he directed a few years ago. Both were filmed in one shot, and I think it would be such an interesting experience and a great challenge to work in that way.
What films, shows or books are currently inspiring you?
My dream role is ‘Lady Macbeth’. Last year, I watched Ralph Fiennes and Indira Varma in Liverpool as ‘Macbeth’ and ‘Lady Macbeth’ and it was so amazing. I think she’d be such a challenge to play, but I’d love to have a go at putting my own spin on such an iconic character.
