Whether in person, online or via self-tape, auditions are the primary method of getting work in our industry; so it’s important to have a technique you can rely on under pressure. In this workshop, we’ll look at how to develop self-belief, how to conduct yourself in the audition room and strategies for self-tape success. During this webinar, the panel will discuss playing well-recognised queer characters on mainstream TV from the viewpoints of a casting director and an actor and why the representation of who plays these roles is so important. There is currently a lot of talk about queer actors playing queer roles but this is usually referring to gay males, queer male actors, and queer male storylines, there is a huge gap in the queer space for lesbian/queer female representation and visibility in the media which this session will focus on. When booking on to the session you will have the chance to submit a question or talking point around the subject if you wish.
