Recognition for ‘Hamnet’, ‘Sinners’, ‘Sentimental Value’ and Nina Gold as the Oscars nominations 2026 are announced.

The nominations for the 98th Academy Award have now been revealed at a ceremony at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverley Hills, presented by actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman.

Sinners has set a new record with an incredible 16 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Song, and nominations for lead and supporting actors Michael B. Jordan, Delroy Lindo and Wunmi Mosaku. It’s closely followed by Best Picture competitors One Battle After Another, which has 13 nominations, Marty Supreme, Frankenstein, Sentimental Value and Hamnet.

This year’s nominations are particularly significant as it’s the first time casting professionals will be recognised with an award of their own. Among the well-deserved nominees, including Jennifer Venditti, Cassandra Kulukundis, Gabriel Domingues and Francine Maisler, we’re thrilled to see British casting director Nina Gold nominated for her work on Hamnet

The winners ceremony will be held on 15 March at the Dolby Theatre. In the UK you’ll be able to watch the night unfold on ITV, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
