Spotlight on Ireland
With increasingly more auditions and productions taking place here in Ireland, there’s never been a better time to join Spotlight – the gateway to the biggest roles matching your talent. Spotlight connects you to the best jobs in film, TV, theatre, commercials, voice over, animation and much more.
How does it work?
If you’re an actor based in Ireland, just add your location to your Spotlight Profile and you’ll appear when casting professionals search for local performers, actors of Irish heritage or Irish language/accents and dialects.
When roles are sent for Irish projects, you’ll also see them in your Jobs Feed which you can filter. You can now also pro-actively search for jobs in your area to the nearest town. If it’s international work you’re looking for, then rest assured, you can access all job advertisements sent to performers globally.
Representation
If you have an agent, they can manage your submissions for you, or you can ask them to give you ‘nudge access’ so you can alert them about jobs you’re interested in, or ‘full access’ so you can apply yourself.
If you’re self-represented, you will manage all your submissions and we will keep you updated on all the latest jobs matching your profile. Casting Directors and job hirers will contact you directly from our platform.

Hiring Actors
If you are a casting professional or a job hirer looking for actors, you’ll find hundreds of Irish performers based here in Ireland, or actors of Irish heritage working right across the globe.
When you send a casting breakdown directly to agents and actors, you’ll receive suggestions for your role within minutes. You can shortlist your favourites, request self-tapes and send video presentations to your clients.

Deaf and disabled performers are also invited to join www.profileperformers.com – a free video database service (both for actors and industry users) hosted by Spotlight and the National Theatre, designed to champion and showcase Deaf and disabled talent.
Our Membership Criteria
You have at least one featured role with an Equity or equivalent union contract or two professional performance credits or have completed at least a year of full-time professional performance training equivalent to an RQF level 5 or two years of part-time training
You have completed at least a year of full-time professional performance training equivalent to an RQF level 5 or two years of part-time training.
Or have been recommended by a Spotlight registered agent or a party that’s a member of one of the following professional organisations: Casting Directors’ Guild, Casting Society of America, Casting Directors Association
